i have mother-in-law issues?
i am always arguing with my mother in law. my son is four months old. ever since he was born she has hounded me and my husband constantly. giving us unwanted advice and trying to take our son when we do not want her to. i am blessed to be able to stay at home and raise my children so i do not usually want/need a baby sitter. she constantly tells me how selfish i am and that i need to let go. she has seen him more than any other member of our extended families. at least 3 times a week since he was born. not only does she always hound us, but my husband has a large family! at least 3 other sets of people call us weekly wanting time with our son.

this is my actual question: those of you who are parents, how often do you let them spend time with other family members? am i being selfish?

i have tried to be understanding but i just wont cave when it comes to being with my son. if i want time with him, i dont understand why i am in the wrong for turning them down when i simply dont feel like having them intrude.

what can be used to replace ripe bananas in a recipe?

Fat-free blueberry muffins – 18 standard sized muffins.

1-1/2 cups Whole Wheat or Spelt Flour
1/2 cup oatmeal, dry, ground (use blender or coffee grinder)
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 pint Blueberries, frozen
3 ripe bananas
1 cup Raisins
Apple Juice, as required
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place flour in a mixing bowl. Add ground oatmeal, baking soda and mix to combine evenly.
Put peeled bananas and the raisins in a blenblender and blend at high speed until the mixture is smooth. Set aside.
Add frozen blueberries to the flour mixture and mix well, making sure that all the berries are coated with flour. Add the banana-raisin mixture and mix well. If the ingredients are too stiff, add a little apple juice (1 Tbsp at a time), but don’t let the muffin dough become runny. It should be slightly stiff. Immediately spoon the muffin dough into the muffin cups filling them about 2/3 full, so that the muffins can rise without overflowing the cups. Bake for 30-35 min until done.

Try the recipe first without making any modifications. Blueberries have a much stronger flavor than bananas so the banana taste may not be too strong. If you don’t like that recipe after making it once, look for a different recipe that doesn’t call for bananas.

A simple Google search for "fat free blueberry muffin recipe" comes up with lots of choices.
